Today the recent storm from Vietnam blew past and the clouds went with it. At last I can get outside to photograph some of Bangkok's most astounding sights with a brilliant blue sky.
The gold Buddha at Wat Paknam is sixty-nine metres high - approximately twenty floors - and the tallest Buddha in Bangkok. Made of bronze, it was completed in 2020. The Buddha sits within the grounds of Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen, one of the most famous temples in Bangkok which itself was built on the site of an Ayutthayan temple founded in 1610. It is the home of Dhammakaya Buddism.
