Established in 1957 Phutthamonthon is a four hundred hectare Buddhist park in Nakhon Pathom Province to the west of Bangkok. Measured in Thai units the park covers 2500 rai, which corresponds to the Thai calendar date for 1957, 2500. Set in immaculately cared for grounds stands the "Buddha in Leela Attitude" statue (พระศรีศากยะทศพล) sculpted by well known Italian born Corrado Feroci, known in Thailand as Silpa Bhirasri (ศิลป์ พีระศรี).
